Which enquiries are conducted to verify the suitability of place?

Enquiries will be made by the concerned/local Police station on the following points:

  • 1. Whether the information submitted by applicant is correct.
  • 2. Whether there are any complaints by members of the public against the club.
  • 3.Whether there is any school, college, nursery, hospital, temple or religious place within a radius of 75 meters.
  • 4. Whether there is a similar place of club establishment within a radius of 75meters.
  • 5. Whether any law and order problem is likely to arise if a license is granted.
  • 6.Whether the establishment is situated in a congested locality which is predominantly a residential area.
  • 7. Whether the applicant is a suitable person for grant of Police license.
  • 8. Whether the place is suitable/feasible for grant of Police license.
  • 9. The character and antecedents of the applicant/owner of the club should be verified from the record of Police station , SB-I, CID & Tech unit of Crime Branch.
  • 10. The number of rooms in the establishment.
  • 11. The number of tables in each room.
  • 12. The number of persons to be seated per table.

What about enquiries regarding suitability of the place?

Enquiries will be made by the concerned/Local Police station.

  • i)Whether the place is in closed premises.
  • ii) Whether the area of premises is more than 40 sq. meters
  • iii) Whether the place is on the ground floor of a building.
  • iv) Whether the screen can be seen outside the premises.
  • v) Whether sound goes out of the premises.
  • vi) Distance between the floor and the roof.
  • vii) Seating capacity at a time.
  • viii) Whether the distance between the screen and first lane is more than 1.80 meters.
  • ix) Whether the size of the screen or the T.V. is more than 51 centimeters.
  • x) Whether folding chairs are fixed on the floor.
  • xi) Whether the distance between the two lines of the chairs is more than 30 centimeters.
  • xii) Whether the screen can be seen by the last person sitting on the last line.
  • xiii) Whether arrangement of fans/A.C. is made available.
  • xiv) Whether separate doors are made available for entrance and exit.
  • xiv) Whether separate doors are made available for entrance and exit.

What is the fee structure?

Fees:

  • 1. Cinema license up to 200 seats Rs. 2,000; Up to 500 seats Rs. 3,000; Above 501 seats Rs. 4,500
  • 2. Ticket selling license Rs. 500
  • 3. Addition/Alteration in the license Rs. 25
  • 4. Duplicate license Rs. 50

  • e. NOC from the Chief Fire Officer

How do I get a license for property protection? (Per-Pro Basis)

The license for property protection is granted on a Per-Pro basis. The procedure is same as that for obtaining a new license.

What is the procedure for renewal of license?

For renewal of the license, you will have to submit the following documents along with the application:

  • 1. NOC from PWD
  • 2. NOC from the electrical Inspector
  • 3. NOC from the Health Officer, BMC
  • 4. Certificate from MTNL
  • 5. Certificate of lighting contractor
  • 6. NOC from the Chief Fire Officer, BMC
  • 7. NOC from the Traffic Police regarding parking
  • 8. Certificate regarding screening of approved films
  • 9. NOC from the Collector.

What is the license fee structure?

Fee structure is as under :

  • Loudspeaker Contractor's License fees Rs. 2,500 per year.
  • Renewal fees Rs. 2,500 per year.

What is the procedure followed for Verification?

Following procedure is followed for Verification

  • 1) First of all, the above mentioned documents are presented on the passport service center mentioned above in your application after filling up the passport online application.
  • 2) The applications are downloaded from the police station in the online way.
  • 3) A copy of this application is given to the BIT executives. The passport applicant verifies the passport and signature of the passport applicant on the tab by going to Beat Employer of the Police Station on the address.
  • 4) After the verification of the tab, the passport applicant has to appear before the passport verification officer for 2 to 3 days in the passport serial center and have to appear before the police station for verification of other documents (original and printed copies).
  • 5) After verification of the documents, the application is sent online along with the passport verification report to the passport branch-2.
  • 6) Police officers and police officers will again submit the passport application in Special Branch-2 and submit it in the online form to the Passport Office.
  • 7) After the completion of the process, the applicant gets the passport from the regional passport office. After completion of the verification process, contact the Regional Passport Office if the applicant has any doubts regarding the passport.

What is the fee structure for the license?

"The fee structure is as under. Premises license fee Rs. 500 per machine/per lane (per month). Ticket selling fee Rs. 500 per year. Performance license fees Rs. 10,000/- per Alley/per month (this will be collected by Divisional Asst. commissioner of Police)."

How long does it take to process the renewal of Amusement/Water Park license

This procedure requires minimum two months time.

My father/uncle/husband/ relative was a license holder. He is expired and the license is now in my possession. What should I do?

You have to deposit the weapon and the original license with ammunition for safe custody at the nearest police station. Attach copy of death certificate with application. A safe custody receipt will be issued to you. The weapon can be kept for one year. Charges are Rs. 50/- for one year.

If the report of the Police station is negative, what would be the result of my application?

If the report is negative or in case your application is rejected, you will be given a personal hearing.

What are the applicants in Emigration Check Not Required stamp (e.C.N.R.) category?

Passport applicant whose education is more than 10th, come to the Emmigration check not included stamp (ECNR) category.

A relative wishes to possess the weapon of a deceased person. What is the procedure?

Submit "A" form application for new license. Attach copy of the death certificate and the safe custody receipt of Rs. 20/- stamp paper, duly notarized. An affidavit of all legal heirs with NOC in the applicant's name has to be attached. The other procedure remains the same as for procuring a new license.
