DCP (Anti-Narcotics Cell) is overall in-charge of the Anti-Narcotics Cell. This Branch was started in the year 1989.

The Branch initiates action against persons who manufacture, transport, possess, or sell narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances like Heroin, Morphine, Ganja, Charas, Hashish oil, Cocaine, Mephedrone, LSD, Ketamine, Amphetamine and others substances under The Narcotic Drugs and Psychopropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985.

The main responsibilities of this branch are to control supply of Narcotic drugs in the city, to trace the origin of drugs & to reduce demand by conducting drug awareness programs etc.
