BHOIWADA POLICE STATION

Bhoiwada police station was inaugurated in 1924 at Khashaba Jadhav Marg, Parel, Mumbai-12.

Many police personnel live in the jurisdiction of this police station, because of spinning mills in and around the police station premises. Since 1926, K.E.M. Hospital, Seth Gordadas Sunderdas Medical College (GSMMC) and King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital are the main organizations in India providing the leading education and medical services.

The Tata Memorial Hospital initially started on 28 February 1941 by the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust as a center of concern for the people of India. In February 1928, he built the memory of the Bai Jarabai Wadia Hospital for Children, in the memory of his mother, Smt. Bai Jerbai Wadia.

On 10 January 1899, Dr. Waldemar Mordekei Haffkine established the research and development for Bacteriology Research in the Microbiology Institute.
