N. M. JOSHI MARG POLICE STATION

N. M. Joshi Marg Police Station has come into existence in the year 1927. Senior Labor Leader of the area Namdev Malharrao Joshi's name has been given to this police station. There is a separate area of about 4.50 square kilometers of police station.

These Police station borders consist mainly of people in the working class. According to the religious class, about 95% Hindus include Buddhists and New-Buddhists and other backward classes, 3% Muslims, 1% Christians, and 1% people of Parsi religion. Previously many mills (cloth mills) existed in the police station area. All the mills are closed now.

A large number of new industrial areas have been created in the closed mill premises. It has shopping malls, offices of international companies, as well as financial bank headquarters and the office of the highly accredited Israel consulate. In the same way, the headquarters and offices of many national and international companies are affiliated to the I.T. sector. There is a separate I.T. hub in the Police station area. Similarly, there is a maximum number of Hindi, Marathi news channels and other channels' offices in this place which is in the premises of these mills.

Five Star hotel St. Regis exists in Police station area due to which arrival of foreign nationals increased in Police Station area. So, in general, large scale IT sector and other industrial industries large number of workers arrive daily in jurisdiction of N M Joshi Police Station. near about 1500 people arrive in every 3 minutes on Lower Parel, Curry Road, Elphiston, and Chichpopokali, which comes under the jurisdiction of police station area. Therefore, problems like traffic congestion are being created in this section. Also, different companies' offices and malls have seen a significant increase in the number of people coming to buy large scale.
